Consultus Digital is a digital marketing agency based in Toronto, Canada, at 136 Geary Ave, Unit 109, Toronto, ON M6H 4H1, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and in the course of providing our services, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
It covers this website and our direct dealings with clients and prospective clients. It does not cover the separate privacy practices of platforms such as Google, Meta, Microsoft, or LinkedIn, whose own policies apply when you use their services.
What we collect
We collect two broad categories of information.
Information you give us
- Contact details such as your name, email address, phone number, and company, when you submit a form, book a call, or email us.
- Anything you tell us in the course of an enquiry or engagement, including details about your business, your goals, and your current marketing.
- Recruitment information, if you apply to work with us.
Information collected automatically
- Your IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser and device type, and operating system.
- Pages you visit, how you arrived, how long you stay, and which links you follow.
- Identifiers set by cookies and similar technologies, described below.
We do not seek to collect sensitive personal information through this website, and we ask that you do not send it to us. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and to provide, manage, and improve our services.
- To send you marketing communications where you have consented or where we are otherwise permitted to do so, and always with a working way to unsubscribe.
- To measure how this website performs so we can improve it.
- To measure and improve the advertising campaigns we run, for ourselves and for our clients.
- To meet our legal, accounting, and contractual obligations.
Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did lawfully beforehand, and it may mean we can no longer provide part of a service.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files placed on your device. We use them, along with comparable technologies such as pixels, tags, and local storage, for a few distinct purposes.
- Necessary. Making the site work, remembering your preferences, and keeping it secure. These cannot be switched off without breaking the site.
- Analytics. Understanding which pages are used and where visitors struggle, so we can improve the site.
- Advertising. Measuring the performance of our campaigns and, in some cases, showing you our advertising on other platforms.
- Embedded media. Some pages embed third-party video, which may set its own cookies when you play it.

Third parties we use

Sharing your information
We share personal information only where there is a reason to.

International transfers
We are based in Canada and some of our providers operate outside Canada, including in the United States and Europe. Where information is transferred across borders, it may be subject to the laws of that country. We take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected to a comparable standard.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it, or as long as we are required to keep it for legal, tax, and accounting reasons. Enquiries that do not become engagements are kept for a limited period and then deleted. Client records are kept for the duration of the engagement and a reasonable period afterwards.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect personal information, including access controls, encryption in transit, and limiting access to those who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal information. In Canada, under the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act and comparable provincial legislation, you can generally ask us to:
- Confirm what personal information we hold about you and give you access to it.
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Withdraw your consent to a particular use, subject to legal and contractual limits.
- Stop sending you marketing communications.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may also have rights to erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Marketing emails
If we send you marketing email, we identify ourselves, tell you how to contact us, and include a working unsubscribe link in every message. We honour unsubscribe requests promptly. Canadian anti-spam legislation sets the standard we work to for recipients in Canada.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices change. The version above is dated 12 August 2026. Where a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will take reasonable steps to bring it to your attention rather than relying on the date alone.
