Paid Media Director

Consultus Digital is a rapidly growing digital transformation agency that specializes in performance-focused digital marketing and sales enablement services for the SMB market. Under our marketing umbrella,  we offer:  website development, social media management, paid media management, influencer marketing, content creation, and much more.

The Director of Paid Media will be responsible for the success of the paid media department. 

Short-term priorities:

Ensuring client’s campaigns are set up and running optimally on the following platforms: Meta, Google Network, TikTok, and Amazon.

Enhancing already developed SOP (standard operating procedures). 

Midterm priorities:

Work with the executive team to develop a scalable operating model to meet the growth trajectory.  How can the paid media department handle 100 clients, 200 clients, 400 clients? Manage paid media team. 

Longterm priorities:

Streamlining paid media resource procurement operations. Combine technology, human resources, and SOP’s to attract and retain talent. Onboarding training modules for freelancer and/or full-time staff.

This is an exciting position at a fast-moving agency aimed at disrupting the digital marketing and consulting industries in Canada and abroad.

Abilities & Skills:

  • Has advanced knowledge of managing and executing advertising campaigns on Google Search Ads, Google Analytics, Display Advertising, Remarketing/Retargeting Advertising, and YouTube Advertising.
  • Has advanced knowledge of managing and executing advertising campaigns on Facebook Ads Manager 
  • Working knowledge of G Suite for business
  • Superior written and verbal communication
  • Presents well to clients and communicates effectively with teammates
  • Ability and willingness to train and manage Google and Facebook ads specialists within our agency
  • Ability to set up tags manager and Google Data Studio


  • At least 5 years of Google Ads experience managing multiple accounts
  • At least 2 years of Facebook/Instagram Ads experience managing more than one account
  • At least 5 years of experience using Google Analytics
  • At least 3 years of experience in managing a team
  • At least 2 years of experience in ad copywriting & providing CRO recommendations on landing pages

Nice-to-have Qualifications:

  • Facebook Blueprint Certification 
  • Proficiency with Adobe Suite (in particular Photoshop and/or Illustrator)
  • Experience working with WordPress CMS
  • Experience building and managing LinkedIn Ad campaigns
  • Experience working with WordStream

Key Responsibilities:

The ebbs and flows of work at an agency may require you to pitch in on a variety of projects in different ways. The right candidate will embrace the diversity of this environment, and view it as an opportunity to learn and try new things:

  • Understand the business of the accounts the agency manages
  • Develop best practices for campaign management
  • Implement campaign setups (from keyword selection, ad creation, to goal settings)
  • Audit existing setups and managed accounts, keep up with general account hygiene/optimization, and work towards improving performance ongoing across our entire client portfolio. 
  • Communicate with the Account Management team for optimization and reporting
  • Communicate and work alongside design/video/photography departments to produce ad creative for our client accounts
  • Budget management
  • Create attribution models
  • Integrate tracking with GA and various paid sources
  • Attend client meetings when asked to by the account manager
  • Create and highlight strategic recommendations
  • Stay on top of industry trends
  • Own the relationship we have with Google as a Google Agency Partner
  • Implementation of new product betas through our Google partners program
  • Develop a scalable management model leveraging technology and best practices
